Great Workshops By Speakers You Want to Hear

Wednesday, February 24th Richard Tarnas, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Comic Genius: An Archetypal Perspective. Explores the nature of comedic creativity from several overlapping approaches - depth psychology, cultural history, biography, politics - with archetypal astrology as the encompassing perspective that integrates all the rest. Using natal and transit analysis, we will consider major figures in the history of modern comedy. Brief clips of individual performances will be viewed.
Christeen Skinner, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Astro-Financials. Analyzes the key trading days in commodity prices, and sharp movements in various market indices since Pluto arrived in Capricorn, then uses this information to forecast key dates in 2010 and the early part of 2011.
Mark Kuenzel, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Using Technology to Grow Your Astrological Practice. The tools of 21st century technology are vital for the professional who wants to reach a broader market. We will learn how to record your consultations as well as how to teach a class on line, design a web page, and produce your own podcasts.
Thursday, February 25th Research Symposium (9:00 a.m. To 6:00 p.m.). Moving Forward, Looking Back: Future Directions in Post-Modern Astrology. Historical, philosophical, and scientific perspectives offered by a variety of presenters. Nick Dagan Best, Chris Brennan, Gary Christen, Ronnie Gale Dreyer, Benjamin Dykes, Demetra George, Rob Hand, Ken Irving, Richard Tarnas, John Townley.
The Working Astrologer (10:00 a.m. To 6:00 p.m.). Presented by NCGR-PAA (Professional Astrologers' Alliance), this covers four sets of skill training for the professional astrologer, including the establishment and practice of a successful business, marketing techniques, presentation and teaching, and client consulting. Madalyn Hillis-Dineen, Joyce Levine, Grace Morris, and more.
Note: A workshop by Nick Campion for the following time slot has been canceled.
Monday, March 1st Roy Gillett ,10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Seeing and Solving World Problems with Mundane Astrology. Following Kepler's very modern view of the role of astrology, we will seek advice from the charts of nations, events and the leading people involved. The focus will be particularly upon the astro-narrative of the Middle East crisis dating back to 70 CE, and the prospects for USA, China and the world economy as we face the Pluto return of the Industrial Revolution.
Steven Forrest, 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Introduction to Evolutionary Astrology. Integrating ancient metaphysics and modern psychology, Evolutionary Astrology reframes conventional astrology in the light of that fusion. Freedom and choice dominate the system. In the light of the idea of reincarnation, every planet and point in the chart represents a pre-existing dilemma. As we take our conventional delineations into this evolutionary context, we move beyond description into prescription.
